Big Gain

2 weeks ago I bought myself 2 new pair of jeans. I spent over $100 each. I have never spent that much on jeans. Seemed like a waste to me. I mean, they’re jeans. But I decided to treat myself. My wife won’t wear anything but expensive jeans so it was my turn. I’ll admit that they are pretty good looking pants. So I tried on a couple pair in a few different styles. I picked the size that fit just right. They looked very nice on me if I do say so myself.

Now they are too tight on me. I should have known better. From now on I’ll stick with the baggy clothes. It makes sense really. I gain weight very easily and lose it at a snail’s pace. I put them in the back of my closet. I wonder if I’ll actually be able to wear them again? Hopefully.

  1. Pet peeve #75: the skinny jeans trend. It has bled its way into t-shirts as well. A large t-shirt is now what a medium once was. It’s even worse now that I’m dealing with a 40-something metabolism!

  3. lol oh no! That’s why I’ve been sticking to the frappy elastic pants that are way too big for me. They make me feel like I’m skinny. I should go out and buy a $100.00 of jeans as motivation to get my fat a$$ back to my old size and that way I won’t be pissed that I spent $100.00+ on a pair and can’t wear them.

Ahh nothing like a nice pair of jeans. I personally can’t wear skinny jeans due to my squatter legs and butt. But I do like my clothes to fit somewhat form fitting. Not to the point where it’s obnoxious but snug none the less.

If you have only had the jeans 2 weeks then you probably haven’t broken them in. I typically buy jeans a little on the small size. This way once I wear them in a bit they fit perfectly. Not too baggy and not too tight. I would just say try and loose the little bit of water weight you picked up over the 2 weeks ( I say water weight because 2 weeks isn’t enough time to gain any serious fat) and try and break them in around the house to see if it loosens them up a bit.

If you do decide to give up on them, if I may ask, what’s your pant size? I’m a 32/32. ;)
